Admissions Process

At City and Country, an education that is intentional, authentic, and inspiring begins with a thoughtful admissions process. Our team will guide you through life on our West 13th Street campus and help you decide if City and Country is the right match for your family.

Admissions for the 2026-2027 school year are now complete. Families who would like to inquire about any remaining openings are welcome to email admissions@cityandcountry.org. Applications for the 2027-2028 school year will open on August 1, 2026.

How to Apply

  1. Attend a Campus Tour – Explore our campus, meet students and families, and get an overview of life at City and Country.
  2. Submit Your Application – Use our online system, Ravenna, to complete your application and track your progress.
  3. Apply for Tuition Assistance - If you are applying for Kindergarten or above, you may also apply for tuition assistance through Clarity. Decisions are based solely on demonstrated need.
  4. Schedule an Interview – Meet with a member of our admissions team in person or on Zoom to share your story and learn more about life at C&C.
  5. Schedule Your Child’s Visit – Give your child a chance to experience City and Country firsthand.

Other Ways to Get to Know C&C

These optional events are a great way to experience our community and program in action. We encourage you to attend one, two, or all three.

  1. Open House – Engage in hands-on activities led by C&C educators to experience for yourself what makes our progressive program engaging and unmistakably effective. Children applying for 6th grade or older are welcome to join.
  2. Block Workshops – Experience our founder’s invention–blocks–through building with them yourself. No other program is like it. Come see firsthand how we use simple wooden blocks to inspire agency, innovation, and collaboration. These workshops are led by Admissions Director Elise Bauer who teaches the block-building course to grad students at Bank Street College of Education.
  3. Meet the Grads – Hear from our alums, now in high school, about how a C&C education shaped their lives. The panel is moderated by Principal Dr. Frank Patti and includes a reception.
