Endowment and Other Gifts

Endowment and Other Gifts

One of the earmarks of a beloved institution is the generosity and participation of its community members. Every gift, no matter the size, impacts the lives of our students and teachers and is appreciated. Where annual gifts directly impact the operating budget of the year given, endowment funds and capital donations are long-term investments in the school. Often, donors can designate their gifts to support what is most relevant to them.

Thank you to all who contribute their time and talent to support City and Country.

Endowment

In celebration of our centennial year, a campaign was launched to significantly increase the school’s endowment fund. The City and Country School Endowment is a valuable tool in providing long-term financial support for the school. It ensures our stability, provides an added layer of support, and sometimes funds specific initiatives. All donations make a lasting impact on the future of City and Country School. To learn more about the endowment or to make a donation, contact Melissa Ritchie, Director of Development at melissar@cityandcountry.org.

Spring Benefit

Each year, City and Country School hosts a benefit to support tuition assistance for our families and celebrate and support what makes C&C special. Organized by dedicated family volunteers,  the evening includes cocktails, dinner, music, and entertainment—a night not to be missed!

Special Funds

The Sarah Verdone Fund

This fund was established in 2010 to celebrate the life of Sarah Verdone, mother of Josephine ’09 and Louisa ’15. Sarah was a tireless volunteer and a diversity and equity advocate during her time as a C&C parent. The fund, set up by her family, offers additional non-tuition support for students on financial aid. Caring for the C&C community in this way was a cause that was near to Sarah’s heart.

Planned Gifts

Increasingly, our community uses planned gifts to augment outright giving to the School. Planned or deferred gifts, such as bequests, gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts, provide income to City and Country for many years into the future and allow individuals to leave a legacy of learning. Our Legacy Guild recognizes donors who have honored the school with a planned gift.

Please email Melissa Ritchie, Director of Development, at  melissar@cityandcountry.org, to discuss further.
