Founded in 1914, City and Country School serves children aged two through eighth grade and stands as a beacon of progressive education. I Learn From Children, the memoir of our founder Caroline Pratt, has been praised by The New York Times as “a lucid presentation of what progressive education can accomplish.” Her methodologies, now used worldwide, combine a timeless philosophical framework with a forward-thinking ethos.
