Admissions Events
Our admissions events are intentionally designed to offer families the opportunity to experience C&C firsthand. We know choosing a school is a big decision, and it is important to us that you can make it knowledgably. From workshops to panels, each event provides a deep dive into our community and what makes a C&C education exceptional.
Spring Campus Tours
Join us in our library for an introduction to City and Country. You will learn how our historically significant program equips children with a modern mindset of agency and innovation. You will explore our campus and classrooms in action, and connect with students, current parents, and members of our administrative team. Attending a spring 2026 tour fulfills the tour requirement for fall applications.
All tours are in person from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Space is limited, so please register early. Once tours are full, please email admissions@cityandcountry.org to be placed on a waiting list.

C&C Open House
Our evening Open House is a unique series of hands-on workshops, led by C&C educators, intentionally designed to offer participants first-hand experience with our program. Your visit begins with an intro by Dr. Frank Patti, followed by a selection of activities in C&C classrooms. Our eighth graders and current parents will be your guides as you engage in such things as Math and Food Insecurity, Painting with Primary Colors, Timeline of the Civil Rights Era, Electrical Engineering for Seven-Year-Olds, and more. The evening concludes with a community reception. Children applying for 6th grade or older are welcome to join.
Please note our Open House is not a traditional tour. For full tours of campus, join one of our many daytime tours.
Open House Date is TBD for October 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Block Workshops
These engaging, hands-on events give prospective parents a chance to experience the unique learning approach behind C&C’s signature wooden blocks, invented by our founder and now used around the world. Led by Admissions Director Elise Bauer who teaches the block-building course to grad students at Bank Street College of Education, these workshops reveal how C&C’s method of using blocks not only inspires agency, innovation, and collaboration, but solidifies foundational math, science, literacy, and abstract-thinking skills.
Workshops are open to parents of prospective students ages 2 through second grade who have begun their C&C application. This event is for adults only; we welcome one parent per family.
Block Workshops will be offered on various dates throughout the 2026–27 season from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Meet the Grads
One of our most insightful events, Meet the Grads invites families to hear directly from a panel of C&C alums who are now in high school. Join us in person as our former students reflect on their time at City and Country and how it shaped their academic and personal growth. The discussion is moderated by our Principal, Dr. Frank Patti, and a reception follows, offering an opportunity to connect with families and community members.
Meet the Grads Date is TBD for January 2027 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m
